INTRODUCING RESEARCH AND INNOVATION

Digital Media and Society

We live in a complex world. Post pandemic society will require building interdisciplinary research think tanks to investigate, examine and solve problems. Collaboration is another key area that requires more effort and planning when it comes to researching media and society. As an academic, my initial area of research was political communication and public relations (not corporate PR, although there is still limited understanding about the academic field). Gradually, I started exploring closely linked academic fields in media and communications and integrated them with public relations for an innovative unique curriculum that can prepare students for the future. Following the success, I started exploring interdisciplinary research, particularly linked to mental health, psychology, creative arts, artificial intelligence and children mental health. In this portfolio, I demonstrate past, ongoing and proposals for future work. I am always open to research and teaching collaborations.
